The Cross
The Cross was part of my initial steps with the purpose of finding positions of massings for the School. This process inspired my theory and provided a general idea of the form of the building.

The below is a floor plan of Villa Mairea by Alvar Aalto.
The floor plan was modified into a plan and section, in consideration of my Cross. This was used as the basis and inspiration for my architecture.
Perspective sketches
The following sketches were part of the development of this design. They guided me to understand how I will address my theory before I dived into digital 3D model making.

Real time image captures and relevance to theory
The focal point of my theory is the play of light, air and circulation of people. These elements must
combine to create significant movement in the building, in the form of light, shadows, wind, temperature flow, and walking directions. The way all of these elements communicate such movement will correlate to the degree of how well suited the building is for its purpose.
The function of the building is to be a learning centre. It must promote a comfortable and positive learning environment. The ability to control movements of light and air will allow the building to adapt as the external environment changes. This versatility, and the ability to move, will lessen the impact of the external weather changes. In doing so, it makes the building effective in doing its job, which is to provide that ideal learning space.
The following images portrays the different aspects of my theory.

Louvre roof on walkway only allows mid day sun to enter.
Moving element further promotes the use of moving light and air to suit building needs.
Facade treatment keeps a balance of the use of natural light.
Semi-enclosed space allows natural light and air to enter and move, but only enough to inspirit and energise the learners.
People can circulate around the upper and lower massings.
